So Far, So Good...

Ten Reasons I Am Enjoying My Trip to American Fork:

1. I don't have to answer my phone (ALWAYS a pleasure)
2. I can ignore unfinished projects around my house easier; out of sight...
3. There are cousins to keep Emily from asking what there is to eat every 10 minutes.
4. Allison is learning the lesson of "absence" and "hearts growing fonder."
5. I get to see Michael in his cool "Best Buy" shirt (and he still won't let me take his picture in it).
6. Sunshine!
7. Charlie getting plenty of exercise running around with Sam.
8. Sharing kitchen duties.
9. Getting to visit cool antique shops, boutiques and outlet stores that I've been wanting to go to for a long time.

and

10. Getting to see Marianne, Dee and the other Loose people!!!

I'm so glad Marianne is taking pictures so I don't feel so badly about forgetting my camera :{

My Steve, representing the feelings we all have after a long drive.

Two beautiful blondes. Manicuring Brittany and Gena trying to figure out how to apply "skins" to her new iPod iTouch (thank you, Steve!!)

I couldn't let Steve go without getting something new. Here he's trying out his Skull Candy noise reducing earbuds. Allison, on facebook, checking up on her "farm," a new obsessional vortex I am falling into.

The women banded together and browsed some local shops. Finders Keepers (lots of decor ideas), Mona Lisa consignment (oh, my gosh, me wants it, the precious) and Real Deals (too fun, and they're a chain!).

This shows Marianne and I a little fuzzy, kind of how we felt after all the shops.

A few drinks from Sonic and we were ready to go home to make Big Macs and Oreos...

to be continued...

I can't believe you were only less than 4 hours away and we didn't get to see you!!!
as we sat around mom and dads table on Saturday afternoon playing 5 crowns...my mom said...we should all get in the car right now and drive up to meet Gena for dinner. It was a wonderful thought but seeing how it was 2:00 and none of us were showered or dressed for a trip/visit...we couldn't pull it off!
DANG!
Glad you had so much fun with the Loose Clan...they are a riot!

I'm envious of your shopping foray. And I wish I could see Michael in his Best Buy duds.

Michael in Best Buy Blue is very good looking! Boutique shopping was the best! So much so that we are doing it again today!

I want you to know that I WAS dressed and ready to go. I could have jumped right up and into the car in a flash. Brent and Kami are real duds!! Just kidding... BUT wouldn't that have been fun?? Sounds like you're having a wonderful visit with the Looses. I will be up there next week for the birth of our 10th grandchild and I have to find out about the stores you visited. They look so darling. There is a really cute one in Lehi (sorry I can't remember the name of it) but it's on the frontage road on the west side of the 15 on a corner, maybe Marianne is familiar with it. I'm going there while I'm visiting. Kaci, my daughter, says it's worth seeing. I'm also going to Osmond Furniture...Marianne, if you have any suggestions let me know...Oh wait, I'm supposed to be caring for my just-given-birth daughter and her other 4 children, I need to keep my priorities straight...so send me your list of stores!! Gena, how much longer are you staying?

Man it looks like you guys are having a blast! I wish I was there with you all! Next time you go to visit Marianne drive four more hours and we'll all meet in St. George at Brent and Kami's. We'd all have so much fun!

Keep on enjoying yourselves.

Love Ya,
JoLynn

P.S. Your hair is darling! You look SO young! I totally see your girls in you, my goodness, you actually look like one of them!

I just had a nap and now I feel better, especially after reading your blog. I am so happy you are having a good time. I am sorry you can't stay longer. It will be good to see you again when you get to Bloomfield. By the way. Richard and Sherri can be here after-all.
