You all know we've had many trials and tribulations with the computers over the last month. What isn't as widely known is that Gena, that's me, has been the system administrator and has gotten everything up and running. That's right, me who learned computers the hard way (anyone else remember ms-dos? bleh!). If you need me to I can set your IP addresses, even on an in home network. I've learned the ins and outs of hardware connection (not that hard) and then coordinating software. And I was even smart enough to know my Windows XP from Windows Vista and reorder compatible software for the peripherals. I feel smart.
So my Saturday Six (which makes sense because it's the sixth day):
1. I'm grateful to have a mind that can expand and learn even at 45.
2. I have happy, cute, good kids that still listen to me periodically.
3. I have a husband who really seems to like me in spite of myself.
4. That I'm able to enjoy Primary Music (after all the years I've done it).
5. I love my extended family!
and
6. I know my Heavenly Father loves me.

Yay for you! I wish I even knew what an IP address is! What if I get lost? I'll never find it!
I am making freezer jam and am reduced to listening to BYU football on the radio. :(
Love you!
Oh my goodness, I knew you were like way way smart and as you know you have always been someone I idolized and looked up to. I can only hope and dream of becoming like you one day. BUT wow, you are even smarter than I thought you were! Wow!!! You go girl! Yeah, here at our house none of us are smart enough to do anything with our computer, are you kidding me, its pure luck that were smart enough to do this blogging thing and even thats a challenge from time to time. Yeah, were just darn greatful and thankful to Bryan Mortensen. Whoo whee, who knows what we'd do without him.
Yes, you definately deserve a "Smart Lady Award". Also I think your right that the Sat. Six makes a bit more sense. I loved reading yours. Thanks for sharing.
We sure love and miss you!!! Thanks for blogging and emailing us. We love hearing all about whats going on.
Love ya-JoLynn
Wow you go girl,
Aunt Gena...I do not want to sell out my husband so I am gonna say...no...to the coloring his hair bit...but look next time you see him and see if he has any gray??? Coming from Dick you'd think he would have some wouldn't you?? :)
Hope all is well.

Hi Gena, We haven't met but I feel like I know you and that we are sorta family...I'm Kami's mom, Brent's new MIL. You raised a very good question regarding Sunday Six and so I've been checking into it because I agree with you that Saturday Six makes more sense or even Sunday Seven. I asked my friend who started this whole thing and she said she just made it up and she doesn't know why she chose Sunday Six because it doesn't make any sense to her either. So what do you think we should do? Shall we change it? I don't have as much time to blog on Saturday with ball games, etc., so I don't think Saturday Six will work for me and if we change to Sunday Seven then we have to "think" of another happy thing...oh, I don't know, maybe Sunday Six is OK. What do you think? Shall we take a survey? Anyway, it was fun to read yours and to get to know you a little better.
Oh my gosh...I LOVE Tuesday Two! Let's give that one some thought!
