And there are two returned missionaries, one of them mine, in the basement on the PS2 playing "Kill Zone." Brawl? I know it's kid rated. Kill? They're both over 21 but I still growl a little.
I LOVED the fourth grade on Thursday and, well, I did enjoy the middle school drama classes on Friday. The loudest groups were the seventh graders working on their mime skits, go figure. And when I got home on Friday? There was another fourth grade teacher asking to reserve me for Monday. Wish I earned more... I've seen three teaching positions open, still, for this school year. One in Jeffco (Jefferson County, our school district) and two in Denver. The Denver school jobs are an easy commute and would be in poorer neighborhoods. The Jeffco job is a longer commute but in an area that would have much more community support. I'm not flattering myself that I'll be wanted by all three but I will be pondering greatly and trying to make the right decisions for my family. sigh.

The kaleidoscope movie montage up top is what we were up to this week. Every evening after homework and dinner the youth of the house would come up with a movie to watch... frightening, spooky movies. It's been fun and little scary. If you take the time to see the titles you can tell which movies were added to the repertoire recently. They would be the ones that I have to watch in the light of day.

Ha I love the RMs playing PS. I hate Playstations. Saturday nights look pretty similar at my house. I love my CO Saturday nights :)
Hi Gena, Cute post, sounds like you are enjoying the kids at school AND the kids at home!! I know all of this is keeping you young. Hey, good job Denise and Allison. Just this morning in our R.S. Board Meeting we talked about how your outward appearance reflects your inner self, sounds to me like Allison already has a very good idea about who she is and who she wants to become. It can start with something as simple as sleeves and then it just blossoms from there. We have a lady in our home ward who is a very accomplished seamstress. Everyone in the ward knows that she will put sleeves in any dress/prom dress for free. So if anyone (especially the Y.W.) finds a dress that they can't live without, but it is sleeveless, Sis. Theobald will fix you right up. I think she's providing a wonderful service. Good luck to you on your job decision...I'm sure they will ALL want you.
I love your post! I want to first of all say that I'm so impressed with Denise and Allison. These are the age of girls that my Brilynn is looking up to and wanting to be just like. Thank you for the wonderful examples. I also want to say that I heard once that the way we dress says a lot about our relationship with the Savior. I never thought of that before but if you think about it it's pretty true.
I'm so glad that you are enjoying your family it sounds like so much fun at your house. It makes me happy to know that it doesn't change much when kids get bigger. I'm always worrying about when they get older, will they still hang out and play games and make noise. Thank goodness they do! I'm also glad that things are going good with school. I will pray for you. Good luck!
Well enjoy your scary movies!
Love ya, JoLynn
P.S. thanks for all your sweet comments on my blog! I sure miss you!
I'm glad Allison's dress worked out! It was so fun to see your pretty girls and to see that they're not only beautiful on the outside, but the inside as well (just like their mom). (Btw, I can't even tell the girl third from the left has sleeves in her dress--I should have guessed, though, since there couldn't have been that much fabric left from hemming.)
Good luck with teaching jobs. Keep me posted on how your job interviews go.
Bravo Allison! You are by far the most attractive girl in that photo...for all of the right reasons! Anyway, sleeveless is just not flattering on most arms!) I am proud of you for your choices. You inspire me!
Gena I can't believe you can even watch some of those movies in daylight! You're stronger than I am!
I have had it with no phone calls! When are you home?!
Grandma Helen, I probably shouldn't call you "Grandma" Helen because you certainly aren't old enough to be my grandma but that's what Kami calls you and I think it sounds cute so...this is for Grandma Helen!! Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. I will pass the info on to Kami and Brent about the computer problem. You should get Gena working on that, she is amazing and seems to beable to fix anything. As far as you making it to the Celestial Kingdom goes...if you can't make it there then I'm pretty sure the rest of us won't be there either. From all I've heard about you, you have it pretty well "wrapped up". So just keep doing what you're doing and we will continue to look to you as our example. I sure think you should post something on Gena's blog every now and then, we would all love to hear from you and learn from what you have to say.
Grandma Helen, I think Nancy is right. We would love to hear from you and what your up to also.
Thanks for all your sweet comments on our blog. We sure love you and miss you and we are very much looking forward to getting to see you and be with you at Thanksgiving!
We love you!
JoLynn
P.S. Brilynn says she loves you more than her luggage:)
